36″ double-bit American hickory handle. Eye section is dried to below 10% moisture content to minimize shrinkage and help prevent loosening.
The head of the axe is positioned on the handle using hydraulic pressure and affixed in place with a serrated aluminum wedge. The jagged design enhances grip, while the aluminum material is durable, light, and resistant to changes in size due to moisture.
